Preparing your event
Complete checklist to make your Unboared event a success, from preparation to setup.
D-2: Promote the event
- Announce on your social media: post 2 days before, then a reminder the day before
- Display in your venue: a table tent or a poster mentioning the event
- Brief your staff: every team member should be able to say "Scan the QR code on the TV to play!"
D-Day: Set up (15 min before)
Prepare your equipment
Laptop, HDMI cable, TV powered on. Optional: external speaker and microphone.
Connect and launch
Plug the laptop into the TV, open Chrome at console.unboared.com, and log in.
Go full screen
Press F11 to enter full screen mode. Make sure the display is clearly visible.
Test the QR code
Launch a game and scan the QR code with your phone. Make sure everything works.
Check the sound
If you're using the Blind Test, turn up the volume and verify the sound works. Click once on the page to enable automatic audio playback.
Choosing games for the night

Prepare rewards
Have something small ready for the winners:
- A free drink
- A discount voucher
- Some merch from your venue
Handing out the reward publicly creates a memorable moment and encourages other customers to join in next time.
